Why do they give me so little bit hours at my part-time job?

I started working at Domino's a week ago as a customer service representative (taking customer orders). I know that it's a part time job, but I think they should give me at least 4 hours in one day. But instead they give me like 3 or 2 & 1/2 hours each day. I know it's because those are their busiest hours when they need someone to help with the orders, but I think it's ridiculous to have to waste the gas that it takes to get to work just to get paid minimum wage for 2 or 3 hours. Has anyone ever been in a situation like this before? Did they eventually increase your daily hours at Domino's, and if so, how long did they take?
